About The Church
A busy place from eleven thirty until four o'clock every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The Under the Sea Restaurant is converted into a small soup kitchen for the homeless and others who are struggling in that community. They all come for a hot meal. They come bring their families, old and young to get one meal or two from the kitchen. The soup kitchen gives away bread, flour, juices, fruits and vegetables through-out the day. It's a place where the homeless can get a meal and grocery too. They are greeted by Joyce one of the staff members, she helps them sign in and gives them a large, clear plastic bag with a fork wrapped in a white napkin. There is usually one or two people serving behind the counter, serving with a smile Louise and Cynthia. The director, Pastor Pat and Lenny are in the kitchen preparing the meals. There are other staff members controlling the crowd and some keeping the soup kitchen clean during the day. Volunteers bringing food and offering service. One Lady brought in seven cakes, the cakes were divided and given out to the people. It's good to know there that are still people who believe in the words "Love thy neighbor as thy self".
